Submission of an MSDS is required by the following three laws in Japan
The PRTR law :
Containing more than 1% of Class I Chemical Substances or Class II Chemical Substances (more than 0.1% for carcinogens)
Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISHL) :
Containing more than 1% of substances given special permission for manufacturing or notifiable substances set by the government
Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law :
Poisonous substances, deleterious substances and specific poisonous substances designated by the law
