The Korea Toxic Chemicals Control Act was revised on January 1, 2015.
With the implementation of <The Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals (K-REACH, came into force on January 1, 2015)>, the registration and control system for new chemical substances manufactured or imported in Korea changed from the Toxic Chemical Control Act (TCCA) to <K-REACH>. When new chemical substances and some existing chemical substances are manufactured or imported in Korea, K-REACH requires that manufacturers, importers or foreign manufacturers of the chemical substances register chemical substances in accordance with the Act.
We, Sumika Chemical Analysis Service, Ltd. (SCAS) provide various kinds of support which includes research on the necessity of registration, the arrangement of required studies, the applications of documents to the authorities, and a local agent service by our subsidiary, SCAS Korea, Ltd.

Legislative purpose
In order to enable all people to live in a healthy and comfortable environment by preventing any harm to people's health and the environment caused by chemicals and by properly controlling toxic chemical substances.
