Biomarker Assays Using the Rapid, Hands-free Simple Plex (Ella™)

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a widely adopted method for biomarker quantification in various biological matrices. In particular, conventional plate-based ELISA often takes substantial time and effort for the preparation of reagents and the optimization of assay conditions. Therefore, we offer a rapid and highly precise biomarker quantification service with an automated ELISA system Simple Plex (Ella™). With this instrument, we can support your biomarker measurements throughout pharmaceutical research and development, including exploratory, non-clinical, and clinical studies.

Features

  • Applicable to a wide range of biological samples, such as plasma, serum, urine, tears, cerebrospinal fluid, and cell culture supernatants.
  • Biomarkers are quantifiable from small sample volumes (as low as 30 μL).
  • No cross-reactivity or poor correlation is observed because samples are treated in independent microfluidic channels. By utilizing independent microfluidic channels, each sample reacts in an isolated channel (singleplex), eliminating common multiplex challenges such as cross-reactivity and poor correlations, often observed with conventional ELISA.
  • Triplicate analysis is available (using 1-analyte or 4-analyte cartridges).
  • No manual operational procedures are required, due to the use of factory-calibrated standard data for each cartridge.
  • A wide range of assay options (cartridges for analysis) are available to meet your requests, enabling us to meet diverse quantification needs.

Simple Plex (Ella™) Technical Profile: Power of Automation

  • Sensitivity: pg/mL level
  • Maximum throughput (for N=2): 32 samples/cartridge (32 samples × 8 components × 2 (N=2) = 512 data points in total)
  • Fully automated process following sample preparation, incubation, and washing (approx. 90 minutes to completion)
  • *
The singleplex assay accommodates up to eight analytes per run.
